As Wazala merchants the basic foundation of our relationship comes down to one thing – sales. We give businesses the tools to sell, period. While this is incredibly obvious some are uncomfortable with the concept of selling. I want to help assuage any ill feelings toward the sales process by redefining your perspective of sales and help you become a Wolf of Wazala.
At its core, the sales concept is merely your ability to influence another person. You are simply offering an idea, product, or service in hopes that someone will align with your offering and act on it. Some equate this influence with manipulation and have a negative perspective to the sales process. While it can be true that some sales tactics are unethical and lead to the phenomenon of “buyers remorse” most sales strategy is closely related to passion. When you have an idea that you are passionate about you tend to talk about it, act around it, and share it without bias to anyone who will listen. This passion is the soul of sales. Whether or not you have convinced someone that your passion is worth the price if they are spending time to listen to your idea you have already sold them earning their time. Time is extremely valuable and when a person chooses to listen to you talk about your passion you have already successfully sold something.
Sales is not a manipulation of individual dollars but an act of putting passion into practice. When looking at your products, services or ideas see them as your passions in tangible form and simply speak to your customers about them. The genuine passion for your ideas is the sales pitch you only need to spread the message and watch the sales flow. Good luck and happy selling.
