We’ve got some cool news to share and we couldn’t resist waiting much longer to announce it. Wazala has partnered with the amazing people behind the artist collective RAW:Natural Born Artists to help support indie artists in their community design, build and manage their own online stores.
RAW: Natural Born Artists is an independent arts organization, for artists and by artists. They provide indie artists the tools, resources and exposure needed to inspire and cultivate creativity, and now with the help of Wazala, artists can sell to fans with ease and pursue their dreams of establishing their own brand online.
Since our launch, Wazala’s mission has been to provide artists, merchants and taste-makers of all kinds a simple, functional, and beautiful shopping experience. We do this all while simplifying complex ecommerce needs into manageable tools for non-business or tech-shy sellers. This partnership is one of many investments to help diversify the artist community within both Wazala and RAW, and to promote indie artists as a whole. Both Wazala and RAW are powered by the indie arts, so it was natural to align our missions and collaborate
The RAW community accepts indie artists of all genres of art such as photography, music, fashion, film, hair, makeup and performing arts. Anyone can register and submit their work, and then RAW handpicks artists to showcase and promote. Along with the online community of artists that help enrich each other, RAW provides a platform to the public via monthly events in 80 cities worldwide. These events end every year with an extravagant indie arts awards show – RAWards – in Hollywood, where fans, the RAW community and a panel of judges select one winner in each category. RAW doesn’t stop there; business tools and special events are always available on their RAWk Wall and include member-only perks. Their RAWdio is constantly streaming and they even help foster the arts for children through their RAWketeers program. We’re so impressed and proud to be a part of this great family!
